New Ing Lodge offers comfortable and affordable accommodation with a modern style in the Lake District National Park.

Formerly a working farm, New Ing Farm lies a few metres off the once busy A6. Built in 1708 New Ing Farm was for a while also a coaching inn, observant visitors will notice the single window high up on each of the gable ends. These are unusual and it was from these windows that the servant girls would look out for the next coach and warn the landlord so that he could prepare to greet the new arrivals
We believe that a stay in the English Lake District should offer tranquillity and serenity in a beautiful environment.
The Wainwright Coast to Coast walk passes directly past the Lodge. We are an excellent base for the night!
We offer a range of activities from our Lodge. We provide maps and details for walkers (and even a guide if you want it), mountain bikes for hire (with a special rate for residents), and an orienteering course outside our back door. We also can arrange kayaking, climbing and wilderness camping and bush craft skills courses if you want.
We offer:
-
- en-suite accommodation
-
- rooms with shared bathroom facilities
-
- dormitory / bunkhouse beds from £12.50 (available for groups aswell)
-
- camping facilities on our 2 acre paddock at the back of the Lodge
We are easily accessible to the East
Lakes the Eden Valley, Hawes Water, Ullswater, High Street, Askham Fell, as well
as the less visited Howgill fells and the
west Pennines.
It is a short 15 minute drive to Penrith, and 25 minutes to Kendal. Other areas of the National Park are accessible with a short drive also.
